| Wrapped in an apron of steam... |
Chris and I met and started dating back in 1998 at the University of Kentucky, Boyd Hall. We graduated in the spring of 2002, Chris was commisioned into the USAF, and we were married in December 2003. Since then we have moved around quite a bit and welcomed Alexander into our family in July 2009 and Anna in August 2011. I am now a stay at home mom and here is our story...

APRON OF STEAM
Anyone who knows anything about Alexander knows that his favorite things right now are trains. He is still playing with his train set that he received for Christmas at least once a day, he loves to watch videos of trains, sing train songs, drive over train tracks, and read books about trains. His favorite book is the popular Christmas book, The Polar Express. It must be Christmas everyday here at the Troyer house because we read that book almost daily. I am not exaggerating. Anyway, one day he was playing with this plastic train that he received when he was about 1 year old (still loves it!) and wanted me to wrap this piece of yarn around it. I did as I was asked and when I finished he said, "Look mommy, the train is 'wrapped in an apron of steam'". I couldn't believe it! This is a line in the Polar Express and his wonderful imagination recreated it. He continues to amaze me everyday. I love that little boy so much!
