Yesterday was Derby and Chris and I celebrated here in Texas. We went to a friend's house for a party and introduced all of our friends to Mint Juleps and Hot Browns. They were a big hit! I have so many happy memories of Derby time growing up, that I look forward to being able to bring Raisin home for some of the festivities. I know it won't be the same for him not growing up in Louisville, but hopefully he'll have an appreciation and a love for my favorite holiday!!
Chris and I met and started dating back in 1998 at the University of Kentucky, Boyd Hall. We graduated in the spring of 2002, Chris was commisioned into the USAF, and we were married in December 2003. Since then we have moved around quite a bit and welcomed Alexander into our family in July 2009 and Anna in August 2011. I am now a stay at home mom and here is our story...

We will try our hardest to make Derby time fun for Raisin, don't worry about that. You just have to come home with him. By the way, I can't wait to meet Raisin, meet him, hold him and kiss him, mmmmmmmmm, sounds wonderful.

Mom
Babies and hot browns sound just wonderful to me, too! I bet you are enjoying seeing all the great baby items in the house. I will pray the wait is smooth and time flies at just the right rate. Missing you!
