34 WEEKS

6 weeks to go! I can't believe how close it's getting. Still feeling pretty good. I'm going for walks everyday so I think that getting exercise helps. I'm definitely uncomfortable though. And I'm not sleeping well. I have to wake up every 2 hours to use the restroom and then I have to wake up if I want to roll over! It's quite the production. This week we have the breastfeeding class and then a doctor's appointment. And then next week we have the infant cpr class. We're looking forward to all of these.

33 WEEKS

Today is 33 weeks! 7 weeks to go! I really can't believe it. My pregnancy is flying by so quickly. (Although, at about 8 weeks when I was sick as a dog, I didn't really think so!) I'm still feeling great with a good amount of energy. This last week at work my feet really started swelling. I noticed that I sit with my legs crossed a lot and I think that caused it. So I wore mostly flats (bummer!!!) and found something to prop my feet up on and it seemed to help a bit. Also, walking really seems to help keep down the swelling. My doctor's appointment on Wednesday went well. I've gained quite a bit of weight at this point, but everything seems to be on track. The doctor hasn't yelled at me for gaining too much yet! I get to hear the heartbeat every time I go in now, and I just love that. It's the best sound in the world right now. Raisin is still super active and kicking into my ribs and bladder. He also likes to stick his foot or hand out at my side. It feels like we're playing a little game sometime. He kicks out, makes me uncomfortable, I gently move him back in, and then he kicks out again, and so on and so on. It's kind of cute!

WEEKEND IN DALLAS

Chris and I spent this past Memorial Day weekend in Dallas, TX. On Sunday we met some friends of ours at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, the local horse racing track. It was not Churchill Downs or Keeneland, but it was very nice. We had a great time losing money and cheering on the horses. There was also a fantastic buffet, which is wonderful to a pregnant woman!! That night we stayed in Arlington right across the street from the the Rangers Ballpark. The Yankees were in town so we went to the game on Monday. We had a blast, but were so stupid and didn't bring any sunscreen. We thought that it was supposed to rain on and off all day, but of course it didn't and we both got sunburned. We had such a nice weekend. I'm so glad that Chris and I do these types of things and I know that they are going to change here in a few weeks, but hopefully we'll still get to go and do some things. They'll probably be just a little bit different types of outings!

I'm now officially 32 weeks pregnant and feeling it. Today at work Raisin was kicking up into my ribcage and down onto my bladder at the same time. It was quite uncomfortable! He must be running out of room and all I can think of is how I have 8 more weeks. I have no idea where he's going to go? There just isn't much more room for him! I guess he'll figure it out and I'll suffer.

31 WEEKS

I cannot believe that I am 31 weeks pregnant! Only 9 weeks to go, that's only 2 months!!! It has just been going by so quickly. I'm still feeling pretty good. I deinitely find myself getting a little bit more tired and a little uncomfortable at times, but overall I really feel great! Not too much to complain about yet. It's funny though, Raisin is moving so much. Yesterday he had the hiccups 3 times! And I don't feel outright kicks anymore, it's more him shifting and moving around. But since he's taking up more room, therefore has less room to move around in, I can feel them big time. And sometimes the movements are little bit more violent than others. But still so cool. I have to say, this is my favorite part about being pregnant. I will definitely miss this feeling.

I was planning on working until the end of June, but it looks like I'm going to be finished at the end of May. I'm working as a contractor and they won't need me the month of June. I'm not too disappointed about this. It'll give me more time to nest, rest and do a couple of projects that I was hoping to accomplish. Also, hopefully spend some time at the pool!!

Chris is doing well. Right now he's a bit under the weather, but overall doing well. He was supposed to go cross country this weekend, only to get to Oklahoma City and have to turn back around because of weather. I didn't mind him getting to stay home at all!! He has to go again in 2 weeks, but he'll just be in OKC, so not too far away.

29 WEEKS

Today I'm 29 weeks along which means 11 weeks to go!! I'm really getting excited. Tonight, Chris and I put together our Pack n Play and our stroller/car seat. Having all of his new things in the house makes it seem so real. I can't believe that we'll be bringing him home in a few short weeks. Well okay, I have a feeling those last couple of weeks in the Texas July heat won't feel very short! But a girl can dream.

Yesterday was Derby and Chris and I celebrated here in Texas. We went to a friend's house for a party and introduced all of our friends to Mint Juleps and Hot Browns. They were a big hit! I have so many happy memories of Derby time growing up, that I look forward to being able to bring Raisin home for some of the festivities. I know it won't be the same for him not growing up in Louisville, but hopefully he'll have an appreciation and a love for my favorite holiday!!
